Abstract
An embroidered apron is analyzed relative to fabric, dye, embroidery thread and stitches, lace, and style. The analysis dates the apron to the Austrian Baroque period during the first half of the 18th century. This apron was probably part of the wedding costume of a Hungarian bride, with the embroidery derived from the work of the Magyars. -- AATA
