Abstract
Neolithic skeletons compare with those in English long barrows; multivariate evaluation shows that Irish Bronze Age skeletons contrast markedly with the Neolithic ones, though falling within the general British Bronze Age range. Most deaths were of young adults, and environmental factors need examination to explain this, especially as the Early Christian lifespan considerably exceeds the prehistoric. Bone disease (e.g., rickets) needs study. A new project is examining microscopic food debris trapped in dental calculus. -- AATA
