Abstract
The authors discuss the conservation treatment of the waterlogged boats from Pommeroeul. Since the construction of a specialised laboratory was not possible, the treatment had to be carried out quickly. Impregnation was done with 10 to 45% concentrations of PEG 400 in a steel tank which had received anti-corrosion treatments.
