Abstract
A reversible mechanical system for assembling bronze statues has been studied. Different types of joints have been designed and constructed. The possibility of using this system on the structures has been examined by double exposure holographic interferometry. Maps have been obtained of structural strains caused by the above mechanism. Examination of these maps has shown that the mechanical strains in function are within the 10 micron range.
