Abstract
Spot tests giving an indication of the sizing agent present on warp yarns are described for selected sizes: starch, poly(vinyl alcohol), caboxymethyl cellulose, and starch/poly(vinyl alcohol) blends. A cationic dye stain test is given for acrylic and polyester sizes on polyester yarns. -- AATA
