Abstract
Asphalt was used as a mastic and oil shale rocks were used as fuel at two prehistoric sites in southwestern Jefferson County, Kentucky. These findings have implications for prehistoric cultural ecology, lithic use-wear studies, archaeological data-recovery methods, and cultural resources management. -- AATA
