Abstract
Chemical agents used in the USSR for protection of museum collections from keratin-destroying insects (<i>Dermestidae</i>, * 2Coleoptera*1; <i>Tineida</i>, <i>Lepidoptera</i>) are analyzed. The particulars of the main species of <i>dermestidae</i>, prevention from infestation of museum collections, and elimination of insects are discussed.
