The Museum Assessment Program (MAP) of the American Association of Museums is a resource to review and evaluate a museum's programs; an identification of strengths and weaknesses, of needs and priorities; a survey of recommendations to aid in long-range planning; a vehicle for technical assistance and information provided by museum service organizations; and a report that may be used in securing financial support from private and public sources.
