Abstract
The article deals with the complex examination of the Sculpture St. George and the Dragon by V.D. Ermolin (1464) from the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin. The results of this examination have helped to reveal the method of creating the sculpture, the original composition and the history of monument and the sculpture and its significance in the Old Russian culture as well. Owing to this examination a scientific reconstruction of the monument original composition has been completed. The article presents the data on the conservation process of the sculpture.
