Results of the neutron-neutron-metric measurements in the vicinity of mining facilities in the 1st May Mine (Ostrava-Karvinná District) and in the polymetallic deposit in Horni Benesov (Silesia) are presented. Evaluation of these data shows that this method can be used for the determination of the dampness changes and, eventually, of the effectiveness of wetting coal seams. Experiments made in the Mine of Peace Defenders in Horni Benesov demonstrate that the neutron-neutron-metric method can be used also for the determination of transition zones between the mineral deposit and the surrounding waste-rock.
