The present work is intended to describe in detail the wall paintings brought by the author from his two central Asian expeditions for archaeological and geographical research over the period of eight years. The catalogue consists of the descriptions of wall paintings from the ancient shrines, lying between Kashgar in the west and Suchom in the east with routes running from Taklamkan, Tienshan range, Moral-bashi, Ak-Su Kucha and Korla: these were removed and packed with great care and then brought to Delhi. -- AATA
