Abstract
The surfaces of cylindrical specimens of iron alloys with chromium, manganese, cobalt, and nickel have been polished or electroplated with nickel or palladium. After hydrogen charging, the hydrogen effusion has been studied by measuring the pressure increase with time in closed evacuated quartz tubes. The measured results have been evaluated using a computer to describe analytically the dependencies on temperature and concentration of the hydrogen diffusion coefficients.
