Abstract
Student projects are fundamentally different from treatments completed in professional conservation laboratories. The pedagogical process greatly impacts selection for treatment and treatment decisions. While I treated a collection as part of the paper conservation lab class at the Preservation and Conservation Studies Program, I considered some of these distinctions and how they affected my understanding of the field of collections conservation.
