Investigation report on the collection in the Museum fuer Indische Kunst (Berlin) of mural paintings and reliefs from caves in Chinese Turkestan. Artistic and technical procedures in pigment manufacture are compared to those of Indian manuscripts of the same period (6th-10th century AD).
