Fur damage is often difficult to diagnose with the naked eye - especially after the fur has been cleaned or brushed, and the loose, visible evidence has been removed. This circular describes and illustrates with photos certain unmistakable characteristics of various kinds of damage, including that caused by insects, as seen under the microcsope.
