Abstract
This is a note on methods in use at the Naples Galleries for panel paintings and wood sculpture. Backs are treated with petroleum, DDT, Hg2Cl2 and consolidated with a solution of animal glue containing NaF, followed by tannic acid in alcohol to render the glue irreversible. Larvae channels are filled with a paste of wood flour and glue.
