Abstract
The University of Alberta Microfungus Collection and Herbarium (UAMH) preserves dried colonies of fungal genotypes on cellophane. When mounted on cardboard frames, these specimens make attractive presentations and provide a durable record of the colonial and microscopic morphology. UAMH also maintains photomicrographs and * 2camera lucida*1 drawings of the majority of strains in the collection. These materials are filed vertically in folders in conveniently accessible file drawers, rather than on traditional, large herbarium sheets. Information on nearly all of the 5000 accessions in UAMH can be accessed by an online data base mediated through the Stanford Public Information Retrieval System (SPIRES) program. -- AATA
