Describes the 1976 restoration of a wooden altar and pulpit, attributed to Giuseppe da Ostuni in the Church of San Antonio ai Cappuccini, Martina Franca, Taranto, Italy. Both items were in poor condition and required reconstruction, consolidation, and treatment with insecticide to remove a beetle infestation. The pulpit's intarsia facade was cleaned with a mixture of xylene and dimethyl formamide. Xylamon Combi (Light) was used as a biocide. The rear was consolidated with a polyvinyl acetate solution in ethanol. The wooden support was completely reconstructed.
