Abstract
The disadvantages of polishing with free abrasives on cloth laps, and with fixed abrasives by elaborate existing techniques, are discussed. Preliminary expts. with abrasives fixed in various plastic bonding materials led to a successful method of polishing with abrasives fixed in disks of dental acrylic resin. The prepn. of these disks is described. Advantages are: ease of prepg. the disks; quickness and simplicity of polishing; almost relief-free polished surface. II. A carrier for automatic polishing. <i>Ibid. 126-32. -- A simple epicyclic carrier is described. -- AATA
