Four steps to protect film from wqter damage such as that suffered by micrifilm after the floods caused by hurricane Agnes some years ago have been announced by Eastman Kodak Company to help users salvage microfilm with a negligible loss of information. 1.Keep the microfilm wet at all times once it has been soaked. 2. Fill any large container with fresh water. 3. Place the microfilm into the containers completely underwater, making sure not to separate the film from its original package. 4. Cover the container and send it to the nearest commerical processing center as quickly as possible.
