The effects of copper content on cotton bleaching, a chemical reaction between peroxide and copper and the resultant damage to the fibers, are noted. Use of a polarographic electrochemical method to determine copper levels to prevent the damage is explored. The method is outlined and results of the experiments are given. -- AATA
