Abstract
Wool and silk fabrics were dyed with four natural dyes followed by mordanting with iron, copper, chromium, aluminum, and tin ions. Samples of the dyed and dyed-mordanted wool and silk fabrics were exposed to simulated sunlight and soil burial to determine the effect of dye and mordant on the colorfastness and tensile properties of these materials. Results are reported. -- AATA
