Abstract
A new microcell has been designed to allow the study of atmospheric effects upon the corrosion of nickel by the polarization resistance method. Cathodic and anodic polarization curves have been generated for different humidities and pollution environments. The corrosion rate in the presence of salt contamination and different pollutants has been measured. These data correlate well with the results of long term exposure tests. -- AATA
