Abstract
Lead isotope ratios for some 18 bronzes from several sites are presented. No specific association of isotope ratio with site is found; rather, they all fall into the same general region, which therefore forms a fingerprint for bronze leads of Egypt's Late Period. This does not correspond to known native lead, and seems to suggest that the majority of artifacts in this study contain a mixture of imported materials, probably through the routine reuse of scrap.
