Abstract
0Sascab is a white to reddish, compacted powder, frequently containning rounded boulders or stones, and found in Pockets in the limestone of Yucatan and possibly other areas. After a discussion of theories and an analysis of samples, the author believes that <i>sascab is the product of weathering or erosion of the associated limestone, and is not of marine origin.
