A method is described for packaging photographs which have lost their original protective housing. Steps in making the package include identifying the emulsion surface, cleaning and cutting a cover glass, preparing a window mat and backing board from archival quality mat board, assembling the package, and sealing the edges with Filmoplast P-90.
