The projects include: treatment of a number of northwest coast monumental works of art (large wooden objects); investigation of cleaning methods for feathers; testing gap fillers for wood; shrinkage temperature measurements of skin and leather artifacts; casting of replacement pieces for basketry; documentation of pigments and binding media from native groups; a study of slatechuck creek argillite; examination and replication of a tsimshian stone mask; a study of glass bead deterioration; a method of unrolling birchbark scrolls; a study on the lightfastness of coloured ethnographic materials; hair slippage problems in fur materials; rock art conservation research.
