The Berlin Foundry Cup, a red figure kylix, is decorated with scenes of a Greek foundry showing casting methods and sculpture styles of the early 5th century B.C. This shows that indirect lost wax casting was known by the 5th century B.C., not the 4th century B. C. as previously thought. -- AATA
