Abstract
The mill site was excavated in the summer of 1979 and the examination completed in 1980. Finds include mediaeval pottery (largely unglazed), millstones, and small numbers of metal and wooden objects. The mill was probably used intermittently; it produced dressed ore but was not used for smelting. -- AATA
