Abstract
The Bodleian repair method is described. The paper used for repairs is hand-made; an attempt to utilize machine production resulted in sizing and coloration problems as well as a loss of nondirectionality. Various manufacturing variables were researched; a satisfactory new Bodleian paper has been subjected to accelerated aging tests and the results are given.
