Abstract
Report on the cleaning and repair of a silver ornamented drinks fountain of the Goddess Diana a masterpiece of German 17th century goldsmithing (made by J. Fries in Augsburg kept now in the Civic Museum of Gera DDR): cleaning and mechanical brushing) polishing with paris red, lacunae soldering with small silver plates, coating with wax and oil of turpentine (painted surfaces) or paraloid B 52 (silver surfaces). 5 photographs.
