Abstract
The principal ingredients of the formulations chosen for study are: wax-resin mixtures, poly(vinyl acetate) emulsions and acrylic emulsions. Properties examined include: loading factors on stretched canvas and fibremat; the effect of canvas area on loading factors; viscoelastic properties; cold extraction pH; weight loss; and objective color accelerated aging. Variables associated with vacuum lining were examined, such as: distance from the vacuum port, heat distribution on the table, hand rolling, and misalignment of the lining canvas. The results are to be presented in future papers. -- AATA
