Abstract
The routine application of large-size films for the radiographic examination of paintings is restricted by the problems involved in treating rolls of the normal double emulsion x-ray films. Since the graphic films used for industrial reproduction are more easily manipulated, we have tried to find out whether they can be applied to radiographic use. Our tests have shown that Cronaflexfilm (available in rolls of 106,7 cm x 30,40 m) produces, with a reasonable exposure time, a contrasting radiographic image which is perfectly detailed.
