Abstract
A description is provided of the radiation polymerization of materials suitable for paint films. The kinetics and mechanisms of radiation poly merization are discussed. The gamma radiation polymerization of styrene and tetrafluoroethylene to form homopolymers and chlorotrifluoroethylene with ethyl vinyl ether to form a copolymer are used as examples. The properties of wood plastic combinations and concrete plastic composites formed by radiation polymerization and the advantages of radiation curing are also described. -- AATA
