Abstract
A helpful comparative look at five brands of new generation quality color negative print film: Agfacolor Professional XRS 100, 200; Fujicolor HR 100, 200; Kodacolor VR 100, 200; Konica Color Print SF100, 200; 3M Color Print HR 100, 200. The author notes few differences between the five lines of ISO 100 & 200 films, compared to much greater differences in the ISO 400 & 1000 films (superspeed films can't match the grain, gradation and sharpness of slower ISO 100 + 200 films). The author recommends using the 200 films which allow for more shadows detail. His recommendation is to shoot ISO 200 film at the ISO 100 setting. This produces overexposed color negatives that are sharper, finer-grained, and result in a softer printing contrast. -- AATA
