Abstract
Methods of lamination and impregnation of paper are numerous. Sixteen methods were tested by the authors using cellulose acetate, Poly(vinyl acetate), polyamide and polyethylene films. Two different papers were used and tests were made of resistance of these papers, when laminated and delaminated, before and after aging. The authors state that impregnation processes should not be used and that lamination with polyethylene is almost always irreversible. The best technique seems to be one using a reinforcing tissue and polyamide adhesive such as Promatco or Cerex and Bifix .
