Abstract
The study of regional joined oak furniture is relatively recent. This report presents empirical observations of styles that can be related to specific workshops. In addition to carving detail, the wood itself suggests locales if it can be assumed that joiners used local wood. The reliability of the method and topics for further investigation are discussed.
