Abstract

A saturated solution of calcium nitrate in a special plastic tray with a vapor-permeable cover was used to maintain the relative humidity in an exhibit case to 55-60% at 70Â°F. It was found to be an effective method, and it required much less space and maintenance than preconditioned silica gel.
