Abstract
The International Foundation for Art Research examined 10 paintings from the Heckscher Museum, Huntington, Long Island, New York. The investigations of The Annunciation attributed to Carlo Dolci are typical of the work performed on paintings submitted for authentication. The analyses and results for this painting are briefly described. Technical and stylistic analyses indicate the painting dates from the late 16th or early 17th century.
