Abstract
The author discusses methods of testing samples of lime-based paint layers treated with consolidants by subjecting them to action of varying factors: absorption and release of water, alternating humidification and drying, freezing and thawing, effects of sudden temperature changes, permeability by vapor, resistance to wear by abrasion and compression. Detailed description is given of the methods and techniques of testing.
