Bifacial reduction experiments suggest that the characteristics of flake size distribution can be employed to detect bifacial reduction activities at archaeological sites. However, data on bifaces in various stages of completion as well as on by-product flakes are necessary for detailed analysis of the biface manufacturing sequence.
