Abstract
This paper concentrates on one operation presently being carried out at the Cacaxtla archaeological site, the roofing of the Great Platform. The murals on the walls of structures found on this platform necessitated protection from rain, intense light, and wind erosion. The criteria used to reach the decision to install a single roof as well as two rejected solutions are presented and discussed.
