Abstract
In a museological experiment, the Sugar Museum, the Museum of Folk Art, and the Museum of Anthropology were combined to create a living open-air museum which is adapted to the tropical climate of Brazil. The nature and behavior of the people in the region were examined. The internal and external environments were merged, and exhibits that are found in folk fairs included. The permanent exhibition collections are briefly described along with problems of lighting and storage. (Translated from the Portuguese).
