Abstract
Two pollen diagrams from Trundholm in northwestern Seeland (Denmark) are presented. The diagrams cover most of the Late Atlantic and almost all of the Early Subboreal periods. The locality is coastal and was influenced by Littorina sea-level changes. It was not possible to correlate shell layers recognized in borings on lithological grounds. It is further concluded that crop cultivation and probably also grazing by domesticated animals took place in the area during the Late Atlantic. In so far as the discontinuous records allow, it is tentatively suggested that the impact of human activity on the vegetation increased in three successive stages during Late Atlantic and Early Subboreal times. -- AATA
