Abstract
This study shows pneumonia to be the principal cause of death among pre-Columbian inhabitants of Norte Grande, Chile. The disease is much like that seen in modern inhabitants of the zone and in 2000 years shows little change in spite of the opening of hospitals and the introduction of modern therapy. -- AATA
