There are a number of textile auxiliaries which, for one reason or another, have not been mentioned or have not been adequately covered in preceding chapters. Combinations, physical mixtures of various types of chemicals and auxiliaries, specialized modifications resulting from use of heat or chemical agents, most of which come under the heading of “specialties” are so numerous that they are often more logically classified as “formulas.” Some of these deserve more than passing mention and are therefore discussed in this chapter.
