There are 15 conservators who treat book, paper, and photographic objects as well as a Field Service Office which provides preservation planning surveys and consultations, lectures and workshops, and a free disaster-assistance program. The center also has a microfilming department and a photographic copying laboratory. Provides a brief history and mission statement. -- AATA
