The elastic constants of orthotopic plates are related to the compliances for the stress-strain relationship. Experimental verification of two methods made with five types of plywood and sandwich boards shows excellent agreement with theory. Significant is the fact that both methods present new ways for obtaining elastic constants of orthotropic plates with minimum and simple testing.
