The planning of the National Museum of Australia is described. It is a large national museum-cum-interpretation park, in which displays inside and outside merge into the surrounding landscape. Relatively low buildings will be bright, airy and outward-looking. Effort will be made to present exhibits in ways that will both entertain and educate viewers.
