Abstract
Based on this work, Kodacel is not recommended because of the low pH and because its sulfur content is higher than the other materials. Mylar is the best material based on lowest sulfur content and showing no effects of adhesion to the photographs. Polyethylene is about equivalent except for its low melting temperature which may cause adhesion under abnormal temperature conditions. Each may be suitable for certain recommended end uses.
